Colloidal Iron Stain Baso Clear Colourful Stains for Healthcare Facility
Testing Principle
Under acidic conditions, acidic mucopolysaccharides can adsorb Fe³⁺ from colloidal iron staining solution to form a stable polymer. This polymer then reacts with potassium ferrocyanide and hydrochloric acid to produce a Prussian blue reaction, resulting in a blue color.
Testiing Results
Acidic mucopolysaccharides appear blue, while other tissue cells appear light red.
